Jim Cole

July 15, 1935     ~    March 21, 2004

One of Jim’s great loves was music.  You would have a hard time catching him not knowing a piece of classical music. Classical music was his  favorite.  He loved Monday nights and singing with the chorus.  Usually, he would go to piano bars and just listen until one night about 6 years ago.  We were at Skobie’s.  I was leaving the bar area when I heard him singing.   I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.  He was  singing:  “The Twelfth of Never,” which later became his song to me.  After that night, we would be at the some place with a piano every weekend.  We later found a place in San Diego.  We would go there about twice a month.  He would sing all night long.  He belonged to St. Peter Claver Church in Simi Valley where he sang in the choir for the dedication of our new church. Jim is singing in the heavenly choir now.
